As we all know, the weather here in South Carolina can be all over the place, even in the span of one day, we can experience a whole range of seasons. Such was the case for John and Melita's wedding day! The day started with rainclouds on the horizon, and then within a few hours, it felt like spring, then quickly went to windy and cold like fall! John & Melita were unbothered by this constant flux in the weather. They were terrific to work with and so easy-going, not to mention such a fun couple! I love how they just soaked up their day and enjoyed every bit of it, and even their "first UNlook" went amazing with Melita trying to sneak a glimpse. hehehe Well, I hope you enjoy the wedding highlight video of their incredible day at Grace Church and the beautiful Aurora Farms.
Of course, this wasn’t even possible without all these amazing vendors!

Sarah called me about doing her destination wedding and we were so honored that she wanted us to be part of her and Andrew’s day. The wedding venue of choice was the ever amazing Chapel at the Cliffs of Glassy and the reception at the Cliffs Clubhouse.
All week the forecast was all over the place, we were hopeful for sunny skies so that we could capture the breath taking views of the mountains, but we were subject to the fickle weather and accepted the rain and thick moody fog we were given. Sarah and Andrew were amazing and went with the flow, the rain did not dampen their spirits, and their love for each other was the only umbrella needed in the shots we captured. The fog ended up making a magical wedding day background; laying low and enchanting the Cliffs and chapel.
We were honored to film and photograph this fantastic couple. Take a look below at their wedding day highlight video, Enjoy! Pictures coming soon!

We so enjoyed being a part of Jon + Lydia’s day. It was filled with heartfelt tender moments, as well as plenty of fun and laughter, they both have such bubbly dynamic personalities that made capturing them a joy! Our weekend with them began at Twigs for their rehearsal dinner. Such a life giving night filled with stories, memories, blessings & toasts shared by their friends and family. The next morning, started off looking like it was going to be a down pour, but the sun came out and brought them a beautiful unusually warm October day. Furman’s Cherrydale house was the perfect setting for the bride and her girls to prep, the home was filled with so much energy and excitement. This was also the place for Lydia & Jonathan’s first look, their love and anticipation were evident in the moment, and the notes they exchanged were filled with gratitude and promise for the journey ahead.
The ceremony was at Furman’s Daniel Chapel , such a beautiful sanctuary, that never disappoints! The reception was at the new venue, Edinburgh West. This was our first time filming there, and it proved to be a gorgeous back drop to Lydia and Jon’s wedding day with chandeliers and flower arrangements that added to the magic.
We loved capturing their quirky fun dynamic with each other and the love that they shared with friends and family. We were so honored to be a part of this gathering of families. Take a look at their Wedding Highlight Video.
Kayla and Evan were so much fun; actually, their whole wedding party was fantastic to be near.
The setting was beautiful with the Cateechee Golf Club as their wedding ceremony background. The day even included a dance by the wedding party, family, and friends of how the couple met and what they were like to be around. Of course, they ended the night in style by leaving on Evan's motorcycle.
Ah, Kiley and Garrit were so fun to work with. It was awesome to see the love these two share. She's going to school to be a nurse and he's serving his community as a police officer. You could see the sparks that flew between them. We love working with amazing couples because they give us amazing wedding videos. Of course, the location wasn't too hard on the eyes either. The Fitzpatrick Farm gave us stunning scenes with mountaintop wedding views and the most beautiful sunset made it complete! I could go on and on, but just watch the video to see the wonderful views, stories, farm, dancing, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and love all wrapped up in this couples’ wedding day video!

The day started off at Hotel Domestique, set in the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of South Carolina; creating a perfect backdrop for the bride and her bridesmaids while they prepped for the occasion. The beautiful setting for the wedding ceremony was Daniel Chapel at Furman University. The day could not have been better; the gracing sunshine allowed us to capture stunning moments with the bride and groom outside on the long green of the campus. The wedding reception also included an artist who painted a moment from their first dance, with bistro lights overhead the nighttime reception was picturesque. The entertainment was provided by The Erica Berg Collective who kept the guests entertained and dancing all night which always makes our job that much more fun. We also had a little time to capture some aerial footage of the surrounding mountains and landscape, these views become an awe-inspiring part of the completed video - which makes for epic wedding footage!
It was such an honor, not just to be Lauren and Carl's wedding videographer, but to be the storyteller of their two families coming together. Check out their love story now.

As I previously mentioned- this family is amazing! We are so happy Kayla and Brandon chose Better Tie to help with her maternity pictures. We so lucked out with the weather this day. It was suppose to rain, but we only had clouds and the rain held off for a couple hours. Kayla really wanted to be outside so we picked the Poinsett Bridge; South Carolina's oldest bridge. I may be biased but I thought her photo shoot turned out great! Below is just a small sample of what we captured that day.
The very first photo shoot we did with Kayla and Brandon was their high school senior portraits! Next, we photographed their engagement session, and then their wedding. Being a small part of their journey has been so fun! And now, we are photographing their growing family, with adorable 2 year old, Bodie. They are also about to have their second baby any day now! Kayla's maternity shoot will be up soon. We could not be happier for them and so thankful to have great clients like this.
Mean while, I hope you enjoy this beautiful Family Photo session at Furman University.
