Building relationships is just as important as the end product which is what separates us from other wedding professionals. To us it's so much more than just documenting your wedding day. It’s about “Capturing the Moments that Tell Your Story."   We feel that in order to truly tell someone's story you must understand that it's not just about pretty images or a cool looking shot. It takes heart, it takes passion. 

We are 2 brothers from a "small" family of 8

Okay, maybe not small but we had to learn to be creative with what we had.  Our parents taught us many things - values, respect, hard work; but one of the biggest things they gave us was a passion for the arts. Starting out at the age of 10 years old - with nothing more than our family's VHS camera, a love of story telling, music, and hard work is where our adventure began.

Family is important to us. We have learned to create and cultivate our passions. We grew from humble beginnings – never forgetting FAMILY is at the heart of it all. Our couples aren’t just another date on the calendar, or another check in the mail. The relationships never end when the job is done. Our clients become like part of our family. Engagement pictures become wedding pictures that turn into family pictures, sharing in their growing through the years.

Because of these relationships we build with our couples, we are able to capture those intimate moments that you don’t share with just anyone. Your father seeing you in your dress for the first time. The groom getting one last ribbing before walking down the aisle. Moments like this reserved for you, your family and friends. It’s why we feel honored to capture your story.

Our Mission

To create stunning and compelling wedding photography and wedding videos through Story Telling. Yes, we could list the multi thousands of dollars worth of equipment we use to capture your day perfectly, or the hundreds of hours of training per year we go through to stay in tune with our industry, but more than even that what makes us stand above the standard is our steadfast dedication to you, we devote time and effort to make your day monumental. We are committed to your wedding - YOUR STORY. Because your day comes once and you have ONE chance to capture that. That's why we do what we do. Daniel Yopp

Our company was started over 10 years ago by Daniel Yopp (owner and half of the Yopp brother duo). Daniel started in production work for a local theatre and quickly climbed to the top in his profession, creating lighting shows for theatrical performances and concerts. Which opened the door to cinematography and film.

Daniel realized – after getting married – his talent for telling stories in a unique and captivating way was needed in the wedding industry. He wanted other couples to have an experience he didn’t have. Better Tie was created. This passion for capturing art & story through cinematography and photography fueled by a remarkable work ethic and creativity allows him to enjoy his craft while providing stunning stories for his clients.

Elisha Yopp

Elisha (the other half of the Yopp Brother duo) brings to Better Tie his enthusiasm and innovative perspective behind the lens. He came with photography experience – having already amassed a repertoire with his own crafted portfolio. And is always honing his skills to further his zeal for the art of photography, consistently capturing unique and stunning moments.
